Can I make a waitlist without creating an account?

Yes. Open the create page, name it, and you have a working waitlist with a shareable link — no signup, no card, no email. It is a real waitlist: you can add guests, update them, and send the link to anyone. When you want it tied to an account so it appears in a dashboard and cannot be lost, claim it with an email at any point. Nothing you built is thrown away when you claim.

Do people need an account to view my waitlist?

No. Every waitlist has a public link anyone can open on any device without signing in or installing anything. You can also embed it in a website, blog post or course page, and the embedded copy updates in real time exactly like the link does. If you would rather a waitlist not be public, you can turn public access off.

What do I actually get on the free plan?

2 active waitlists with up to 15 guests each, real-time updates, the public link and full-screen display - with no card and no time limit. The free plan is the whole product at a smaller scale, not a crippled demo. The limits you eventually hit are guest count and waitlist count.

I only need this for one event. Do I have to subscribe?

No. One-time passes exist precisely because most waitlists are made for a single weekend, campaign or season. You pay once, run the event with the higher limits, and nothing renews afterwards. How do I put a waitlist on a TV, projector or stream?

Open the public link in any browser on the screen and go full-screen. The layout scales up, the type stays legible across a room, and figures are tabular so numbers do not jitter as they change. The same URL works as a browser source in streaming software, so an overlay keeps itself up to date.

What happens when I reach the guest limit?

The waitlist refuses the new guest and tells you the limit. It never accepts data and quietly hides the overflow - an earlier version did exactly that on bulk imports, and people did not notice their data was wrong until much later. A pass, a subscription or the one-time waitlist unlock all raise the cap immediately.
