Creating your first waitlist

Open the create page, type a name, and you have a working waitlist with a public link. There is no account step, no template to choose and no setup wizard.

Create it

Go to Create, give the waitlist a name, and confirm. The waitlist exists immediately and already has a shareable link.

You do not need an account for this. If you want the waitlist saved to an account so it appears in a dashboard and cannot be lost with your browser data, claim it with an email address at any point - nothing you have built is discarded when you do.

Add your guests

Inside the editor, add guests one at a time, or paste a list to add several at once.

Each guest has a name and a number. What the number means is up to you - points, amount raised, laps, votes. You can change any of it later.

If you would rather not type everyone in yourself, turn on self-registration in the waitlist's settings. That gives you a join link people can use to add themselves, and each person gets their own row.

Share the link

Every waitlist has a public link. Anyone can open it on any device without signing in, installing anything, or being invited.

Open the same link full-screen on a TV or projector and it scales up for the room. It updates live for everyone watching, so you never have to tell people to refresh.

If it says the limit is reached

Free waitlists hold a limited number of guests, and the limit is enforced strictly: the waitlist refuses the new guest and tells you, rather than accepting it and hiding the overflow. If a paste of twenty names would go over the cap, the whole paste is refused rather than importing the first few and silently dropping the rest - a partial import that looks like a success is much worse than a clear refusal.

To raise the cap you can upgrade the single waitlist with a one-time purchase, buy a pass for the length of your event, or subscribe. The pricing page compares all three.
